Hiring can be your greatest advantage.

AI is driving rapid, life-changing, and never-ending change.  Today’s “status quo” may be obsolete tomorrow, but with change come opportunities.  Our mission is to help managers make hiring their competitive advantage.

Better Information – Better Hiring Decisions

In my career, I’ve been the under-appreciated employee, the superstar, and the bad fit. I know firsthand the cost of a poor hiring decision and the value of a great one.

That’s why I founded Hire to Compete. I provide managers with world-class assessments to help them make confident hiring decisions, reduce costly turnover, and build a team that truly fits.  Are you open to a brief conversation about how we can help your team improve employee engagement and retention?

Are you hiring for a job description or to build a high performing team?

We can help you increase employee engagement and retention with these four management tools.

  1.  Pre-Hire Assessment: We utilize tools like the PXT Select to provide objective, data-driven

insights about a candidate’s job fit, team fit, and manager fit. This goes beyond resumes, giving you a deeper understanding of the candidate’s potential.

2.  Talent Management Assessments: Is your current assessment only focused on selection? We offer one assessment  that generates ten (10) reports that can be used for seletion, leadership development, team optimization, promotions, succession planning,  conflict resolution, and more. Our solutions support continuous employee development and foster a culture of high performance.

3.  Job Outlook form:  This is not a job description.  This form takes about 15 minutes to fill out, but it captures the manager’s strategic thoughts on the open position before the candidate search begins. What are the current and future (3-5 years) needs of the position, current teams’ strengths and development needs, etc.  This ensures you’re recruiting for today and future needs.  Also, this can be a tool to review and help the hiring manager improve their skills.

4.  Culture StatementIt is a short, positive, non-discriminating statement about the employee characteristics you need to fulfill your Mission Statement.  It is a constant reminder of the talent you need to succeed.  You can have one company wide or by individual departments.  (see samples in blog)
